Breanta Boss

Breanta “Bre” Boss is a graduate of SMU Dedman School of Law. Bre received her M.A. and B.A. from Texas State University where she majored in Political Science. Bre is driven by a strong commitment to public service as she has interned for Legal Assistance for Survivors of Sexual Assault, the Dallas Public Defender Office, Deason Criminal Justice Reform Center, Rockwall County District Attorney Office, and W.W. Caruth Jr. Child Advocacy Center. In law school, she served as Chief of the Judge Elmo B. Hunter Legal Center for Victims of Crime Against Women Clinic, Director of Programming for the Criminal Law Society, student member of the Dean’s Diversity Council, Intercultural Liaison for the Black Law Student Association, and Co-Director of the Dallas Kids Project. As an advocate, Bre received awards in the Southern Classic Mock Trial Competition, SMU Fall Mock Trial Competition, and Jackson Walker Moot Court Competition. Additionally, she became a member of the State Bar of Texas Law Student Pro Bono College after the completion of more than 200 hours of public service. Bre’s proudest achievement is being a first-generation college student. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her brother who has severe autism, and catching up on crime and house hunting shows.
